Intern - NVE Design Engineer
Role Summary
The intern will join the Non-Volatile NAND (NVE) Design Engineering team to support definition, implementation, verification, and silicon validation of digital logic features for NAND Flash products. The role is project-focused and supervised by experienced engineers; work involves collaboration with architecture, firmware, analog, physical design, and test teams.
Experience Level
Entry-level (Internship). No minimum professional experience required; this is a learning position within an engineering team.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include contributing to development and verification activities for digital logic under mentorship.
- Support development and verification of selected digital logic blocks under guidance.
- Translate system or firmware requirements into clear design and verification tasks.
- Contribute to RTL coding, simulation, test development, debugging, and documentation.
- Analyze simulation and validation results, identify issues, and report findings to the project team.
- Collaborate with architecture, firmware, analog, physical design, and test teams on interfaces and integration.
- Learn and apply engineering tools and scripting; apply responsible AI-assisted approaches while validating outputs and protecting IP.
- Present progress and technical learnings to the team and seek feedback for professional development.

- Must-have: Basic knowledge of digital logic design, computer architecture, or electronic systems.
- Must-have: Academic or project experience with a hardware description language such as Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL.
- Must-have: Familiarity with simulation, programming, or scripting tools from coursework, labs, or personal projects.
- Must-have: Analytical thinking, attention to detail, curiosity, good communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively in an international, multifunctional environment.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
- Nice-to-have: Exposure to verification methodologies, FPGA development, physical design concepts, or laboratory validation.
- Nice-to-have: Interest or exposure to NAND Flash, non-volatile memories, or semiconductor product development.
- Nice-to-have: Interest in or familiarity with AI-assisted workflows and tools to enhance engineering productivity (responsible use expected).
Education Requirements
Currently pursuing an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (enrollment in a relevant graduate program is expected).
