Test Engineering Intern
Role Summary
This is an internship on the Phoenix Design Center test engineering team in Qorvo's Advanced Cellular business group. Work will support measurement and test automation efforts related to the MHB PAD RF module.
Interns will build test automation, perform RF/analog measurements using lab equipment and custom testers, analyze measured data, and produce reports for designers and stakeholders.
Experience Level
Entry-level (Intern). Role intended for current college students; no specific years of professional experience required.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities may include:
- Create automated test software and use AI-assisted coding to control test equipment and execute test plans.
- Develop measurement automation using Python, C++, C#, and internal tooling.
- Perform RF and analog measurements using Qorvo custom testers and lab equipment.
- Process, verify, and analyze measurement data using Excel, Spotfire, or similar tools; produce concise presentations and reports.
- Support TX/RX designers by evaluating parts from DOE builds and interpreting customer specifications into test methodologies.
- Improve test measurement productivity, efficiency, and accuracy.
Requirements
Must-have skills and conditions:
- Programming experience in one or more: Python, C, C++, C#, or another object-oriented language.
- Familiarity using AI tools to assist coding and automation tasks.
- Experience or comfort using lab/test equipment for RF and analog measurements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools such as Spotfire.
- Ability to document test methodology and data analysis clearly; produce presentations and reports.
- Strong communication skills, motivated, teachable, and able to work under pressure on real deliverables.
- Willingness to perform hands-on tasks and contribute to data delivery for customers.
- Position is not eligible for visa sponsorship by the company.
- Posted hourly pay range: $31/hr - $42/hr (subject to change by location and candidate qualification).
Education Requirements
Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program (college student). Preferred fields: Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with emphasis in RF. Minimum GPA: 3.0. (This internship program targets students in degree programs; residency/authorization requirements apply.)
