Role Summary

Join the Siemens EDA team in New Cairo to develop, implement, and execute software tests and verification diagnostics for electronic design automation products. The role supports product quality by diagnosing failures, documenting test results, and assisting senior engineers with test automation and corrective actions.

Entry-level — works under close supervision; typically 0–3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Support feasibility and functional requirements studies for automating test routines and software programs.
• Develop and execute test programs based on R&D-released verification diagnostics.
• Plan, document, and implement product tests and verification procedures.
• Diagnose software and/or emulation hardware functional failures and identify root causes.
• Recommend and implement corrective actions based on test results.
• Update and develop software components driven by testing outcomes.
• Ensure functional quality of released products across supported platforms.
• Work under close supervision and collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred capabilities:

• Must-have: Basic software development skills, experience writing and running test programs, and ability to follow test plans and document results.
• Must-have: Hands-on debugging and diagnostic skills to investigate functional failures and recommend fixes.
• Must-have: Good technical communication and documentation abilities; able to work under direction and collaborate with senior engineers.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with verification diagnostics, emulation hardware, or EDA toolchains.
• Nice-to-have: Exposure to AI/ML concepts or tooling that can be applied to automation and test workflows.
