DFT Application Support Engineer (Tessent)
Role Summary
Provide technical application support for Tessent Design-For-Test (DFT) products to customers and internal field teams. Deliver product training, troubleshoot complex DFT issues, and help develop robust DFT flows across IC designs in industries such as AI, automotive, and mobile.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include customer-facing support, product/flow enablement, and technical escalation.
- Provide application support and resolve technical DFT issues for global customers and field engineers.
- Develop and deliver product training and best-practice workflows for Tessent DFT tools.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Scan Insertion, ATPG, BIST, and diagnosis methodologies and tool capabilities.
- Collaborate with application and engineering teams to reproduce, analyze, and resolve customer-reported defects or flow issues.
- Document solutions, create examples, and contribute to internal knowledge bases and customer-facing materials.
- Be available for occasional business travel (under 10% of working time).
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience, followed by preferred skills.
- Must-have: Minimum 2 years experience in IC/VLSI design with focus on testing and design-for-testability.
- Must-have: In-depth understanding of DFT structures, ATPG flows, and scan methodologies.
- Must-have: Experience using CAD tools such as synthesis, simulation, ATPG, Memory BIST, Logic BIST, and boundary-scan tools.
- Must-have: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; experience diagnosing complex RTL/gate-level test issues.
- Must-have: Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing communication skills.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with design, simulation, and verification of IC/VLSI circuits and systems.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with scan data compression methodologies and MemoryBIST flows.
- Nice-to-have: Unix/Linux environment experience and scripting knowledge (TCL).
- Nice-to-have: RTL/gate-level experience in Verilog, SystemVerilog, and/or VHDL.
Education Requirements
