Test Engineer - Wide Vin Buck
Role Summary
Develop and validate automatic test equipment (ATE) programs and hardware for multi-rail power-management DC-DC converter devices. Work with design and production teams to characterize silicon, debug failures, and release products into volume production.
Experience Level
Mid-level - requires 3+ years of relevant Test Engineering experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on ATE test development, silicon characterization, and production release support.
- Collaborate with design engineers to understand specifications and define test strategy for new DCDC converter products.
- Generate test plans and develop characterization and production test programs on ATE; design ATE hardware interface boards.
- Debug silicon on ATE and bench, correlate results with bench data, and support failure analysis and qualification tasks.
- Analyze yield fallout, perform statistical analysis, optimize test time, and implement yield-improvement actions.
- Drive robust, cost-effective test solutions and support product release to volume production.
Requirements
Key technical requirements and preferred skills.
- Must-have: 3+ years of Test Engineering experience; ATE development experience on ETS364 and ETS800 platforms.
- Experience developing characterization and production test programs and associated hardware.
- Strong knowledge of electronic devices, mixed-signal circuits, and analog test techniques.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, sourcemeters, and electronic loads.
- Experience with product engineering activities including yield improvement and test time reduction; solid understanding of the IC product development process through volume production.
- Nice-to-have: experience with power-topology test systems, offshoring test program/hardware to manufacturing sites, and programming/scripting in C++, Python, or C#; strong analytical, communication, and time-management skills.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electrical Systems, or a related engineering degree.
