Test Engineer, Senior Staff

Role Summary

As a Senior Test Engineer on the ASICs Engineering team in Hod Hasharon, you will define, develop, and characterize analog and digital ATE (automatic test equipment) test modules for wafer-level and final test. You will translate design specifications into ATE test definitions, implement and validate test code and hardware, and support production ramp and vendor integration.

Experience Level

Senior — typically requires 5+ years of ATE test development or equivalent practical experience. Degree-based minimums are summarized in Education Requirements.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Translate design specifications and datasheets into ATE test definitions in collaboration with architecture, VLSI, design/DFT, backend, SW, HW and verification teams.
• Develop, code, debug, validate and characterize ATE test modules for wafer and final test.
• Define and specify ATE hardware (load boards and probe cards) optimized for high-speed SerDes testing.
• Perform pre-Si DFT tasks: production definition, pattern generation, conversion and virtual testing.
• Execute post-Si test program (TP) characterization and qualification and drive TP to production quality.
• Provide feedback reports, support mass-production ramp and troubleshoot with vendors and partners.
• Travel to vendor sites as required for integration and production support.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

• At least 5 years of ATE test development experience or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with Advantest or Teradyne ATE platforms.
• Experience with pre-Si DFT workflows, pattern generation and virtual testing.
• Experience with post-Si test program characterization, qualification and production handoff.
• Proven ability to collaborate across VLSI, backend, HW, SW, quality & reliability teams and with external vendors.
• Ability to work independently and support production ramp; available to travel to vendor sites.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience testing High-Speed SerDes IPs and familiarity with their testability.
• Experience designing or specifying load-board and probe-card hardware.
• Strong execution standards, multitasking and rapid self-learning skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering (for example, B.Sc. in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science) plus relevant ASIC experience, OR Master's degree in Science or Engineering with relevant experience, OR PhD in a related field.
