Job Title

Test Engineer - Power Interface

Role Summary

Work on ATE testing and qualification of multi-rail power-management devices (USB controllers, Wide-VIN, Power over Ethernet). The role includes test plan generation, ATE program and hardware development, silicon characterization and debugging, statistical yield analysis, and support for releasing products to volume production.

Experience Level

Mid-level (3+ years of relevant semiconductor test/characterization experience).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include development and validation of test solutions across characterization and production.

  • Generate test plans and develop characterization and production test programs.
  • Design ATE hardware interface boards and qualification hardware.
  • Debug silicon on ATE and correlate results with bench measurements.
  • Perform device-level debugging, design validation, and failure analysis.
  • Analyze yield fallout and drive yield improvement and test-time optimization.
  • Define and implement test strategies for DCDC converters and power ICs.
  • Work with production teams to release products to volume production and support offshore test offload.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred skills for successful performance in this role.

  • Must-have: 3+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor test, characterization, or production test development.
  • Must-have: Hands-on experience debugging silicon on ATE and correlating results with bench data; familiarity with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, sourcemeters, power supplies, electronic loads).
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with Teradyne testers (Eagle/Ultraflex, J750, ETS800) and mixed-signal test techniques.
  • Nice-to-have: Programming/scripting experience (C++, Python, C#); LabVIEW and TestStand experience.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with STDF-based data analysis tools (Spotfire, dataPower) and revision control (Subversion, Git).
  • Other: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective verbal and written communication, teamwork, and time-management.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (specified as minimum requirement).
