Job Title
Test Engineer
Role Summary
Join the test engineering team responsible for validation and production test development of highly integrated multi-rail power-management devices. The role focuses on probe and final-test development, silicon characterization, failure analysis, and enabling products for volume production.
Work closely with design and production teams to define test strategy, create ATE programs and hardware, and improve yield and test time.
Experience Level
Mid-level β 2 to 5 years of relevant test or product-engineering experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include test program and hardware development, silicon characterization, and production release support.
- Collaborate with design teams to interpret specifications and develop test plans.
- Create characterization and production test programs; design ATE hardware interface boards.
- Debug silicon on ATE and correlate results with bench measurements.
- Perform failure analysis, device debugging, and design validation.
- Analyze yield fallout, implement yield improvements and optimize test time.
- Define and implement test strategy for new DC-DC converter products.
- Develop ATE hardware and software and support silicon qualification and qualification hardware development.
- Deliver robust, cost-effective test solutions and maintain product quality.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- 2β5 years relevant experience in test engineering or product engineering.
- ATE experience on Teradyne Eagle or equivalent analog ATE (iFlex, LTX, VLCT); Eagle preferred.
- Experience in characterization and production test program and hardware development.
- Strong technical knowledge of analog electronic devices, circuits and test techniques.
- Data analysis using Spotfire, dataPower or equivalent STDF-based tools.
- Familiarity with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, power supplies, source meters, electronic loads.
- Experience with yield improvement, test-time reduction, and IC product development lifecycle.
Preferred / nice-to-have:
- Mixed-signal test techniques and experience on roadmap testers.
- Experience offloading test programs/hardware to offshore manufacturing sites.
- Programming/scripting: C++, Python, C#.
- Revision-control experience: Subversion, Git.
