Test Engineer (Electronics Engineering)
Role Summary
Entry-level engineering role supporting product, test and validation activities for TI analog and embedded-processing products. Work includes developing test hardware and software, debugging devices, optimizing tests, and supporting product qualification and manufacturing release.
The role partners with cross-functional teams and manufacturing sites to implement strategies that improve profitability through new product introduction, cost reduction, capacity expansion and yield enhancement.
Experience Level
Entry-level β suitable for fresh graduates up to ~2 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Typical duties for this role include hands-on test, validation and product-support activities:
- Participate in TI's Career Accelerator Program (onboarding, technical training and on-the-job learning).
- Develop and implement product/test/validation plans to meet profitability and quality targets (NPI, cost reduction, capacity, yield).
- Design, build and maintain test hardware and software; develop test programs (C/C++) and work with automated test equipment (ATE).
- Debug devices at bench and system level; perform verification, characterization and device failure analysis.
- Perform product qualification and reliability tests and evaluate their implications for manufacturing and customers.
- Verify test capability and support product release to manufacturing; collaborate with wafer fabrication and assembly teams.
- Analyze test and manufacturing data, resolve customer quality/application issues, and facilitate cross-functional problem solving.
- Document results, communicate with stakeholders, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Must-have: Programming experience in C/C++; familiarity with basic test concepts and automated test equipment (ATE).

Must-have: Practical understanding of analog circuitry and bench setups; ability to perform hardware debug and basic hardware/software integration.

Must-have: Strong verbal and written communication, teamwork, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Must-have: Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly and to work across functions with internal and external stakeholders.

Nice-to-have: LabVIEW experience; familiarity with schematics, PCB layouts and digital components.

Nice-to-have: Knowledge of specific analog components (op-amps, DC/DC, data converters, sensors) and experience with product qualification/reliability testing or manufacturing systems.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering required; academic performance expectation noted as CGPA > 3.3.
