Associate Engineer (Equipment)

Role Summary

The Associate Engineer (Equipment) works on 12-hour shifts to operate, maintain and improve test process equipment within a production module. The role focuses on ensuring test process control, minimizing defects, and meeting production objectives.

The position involves designing and operating test fixtures, analyzing process data, coordinating with specialists and suppliers, and supporting safety and housekeeping in a cleanroom production environment.

Experience Level

Entry-level (1–2 years of relevant experience)

Responsibilities

Primary duties include:

  • Perform 12-hour shift duties to operate and optimize test processes in the module.
  • Develop and implement methods and procedures for test process control and continuous improvement.
  • Design, set up and operate test equipment and test fixtures for production.
  • Create and maintain process job-files for test equipment and production setups.
  • Analyze reports and charts to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with module Specialists to ensure efficient execution and compliance with SOPs.
  • Collaborate with suppliers on quality issues and verify effective corrective actions.
  • Maintain production-area housekeeping, tool custody and comply with EHS&S requirements.
  • Work in a cleanroom environment and handle test fixtures and equipment as required.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications and skills:

  • 1–2 years of experience in test engineering or wafer-fab production.
  • Able to perform a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to work independently and follow Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Comfortable working in a cleanroom and handling test fixtures/equipment.

Education Requirements

Diploma in Electrical & Electronics, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering is specified. The posting allows relevant education and/or equivalent practical experience; 1–2 years of related experience is referenced alongside the educational requirement.
