Test Engineer
ONiOJob Title
Test Engineer
Role Summary
Own wafer-level, packaged, and system-level testing for batteryless SoCs. Work with design, DFT, product, and manufacturing teams to develop, validate, and transfer test solutions that ensure functionality, performance, and manufacturability.
Experience Level
Mid-level. 2+ years of semiconductor test experience preferred.
Responsibilities
Execute and maintain test infrastructure across wafer, package, and system stages.
- Develop and execute test plans for wafer-level, packaged, and system-level testing.
- Build and maintain automated test programs and ATE setups (Teradyne/Advantest or custom rigs).
- Generate test patterns; validate functionality, performance, and parametrics.
- Debug test failures and correlate lab results with silicon and production data.
- Support silicon bring-up and transition from lab to production.
- Analyze test data for yield, margin, and process variation; recommend improvements.
- Design and develop test hardware: load boards, probe cards, sockets.
- Document procedures and support test transfer and production ramp activities.
Requirements
Skills and experience required or highly recommended for the role.
- Semiconductor test experience (bench or ATE); 2+ years preferred.
- Experience with ATE platforms or custom automated test setups (Teradyne/Advantest preferred).
- Test scripting/programming: Python, C/C++, LabVIEW, or ATE languages.
- Strong understanding of analog and digital measurements and lab instrumentation.
- Familiarity with IC test methodologies: parametric, functional, boundary testing.
- Ability to analyze large datasets and extract yield/margin insights.
- Strong debugging skills and attention to detail; comfortable working in lab environments.
- Nice-to-have: knowledge of DFT (scan, BIST, JTAG); experience with yield improvement and test-time/cost optimization.
