Test Engineer (Analog IC Test) - 2027 Campus

Role Summary

Entry-level engineer participating in TI's Career Accelerator Program (CAP) to develop skills in product, test or validation engineering for analog and embedded processing ICs. Work with cross-functional teams, manufacturing sites and customers to ensure product quality, optimize test and validation flows, and support new-product ramp and yield improvement.

Experience Level

Entry-level / New graduate (campus hire).

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities include developing and validating test and product solutions across manufacturing and design cycles.

  • Develop test hardware and software; support automated test equipment and tester H/W–S/W interactions.
  • Perform product debugging, verification, characterization and device failure analysis.
  • Design and execute bench setups for validation and characterization.
  • Support product qualification, reliability testing and release-to-manufacturing activities.
  • Analyze data to drive yield enhancement, cost reduction and capacity planning.
  • Serve as a point of contact for operational aspects of assigned product lines and resolve customer quality or application issues.
  • Facilitate cross-functional problem solving and communicate with wafer fab and assembly manufacturing sites.
  • Participate in on-the-job learning, formal training and rotational experiences within CAP.

Requirements

Skills and attributes expected for successful candidates.

  • Understanding of basic test concepts and experience with automated test equipment or equivalent laboratory exposure.
  • Familiarity with hardware design and bench setups; ability to debug hardware and integrate test software.
  • Programming skills in C/C++; experience with LabVIEW recommended.
  • Basic knowledge of schematics, PCB layouts, digital components and analog circuitry (op-amps, DC/DC, data converters, sensing).
  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, teamwork, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly, manage time effectively and deliver projects on schedule.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field. Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher as a minimum requirement.
