Test Engineer - ADEF

Role Summary

Join Analog Devices' Aerospace & Defense (ADEF) team to design, develop, and implement test methods, fixtures, and diagnostic programs for product development and manufacturing. Work with cross-functional engineering teams to validate module performance and drive product readiness for production.

Focus areas include test program development, test equipment selection, data analysis, and root-cause debugging for mixed-signal, RF, and MEMS devices.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities center on building and executing test solutions and improving manufacturing test processes.

  • Design and implement test programs and plug-ins to evaluate module and device performance.
  • Create test fixtures, diagnostic routines, and test equipment specifications.
  • Analyze test data using statistical tools and present technical findings.
  • Debug failures, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions for design and manufacturing issues.
  • Plan test labor, schedules, and equipment needs for development and production phases.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams; participate in technical discussions and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, security/eligibility requirements, and practical experience.

  • U.S. citizenship required (export licensing/security clearance considerations).
  • Minimum ~2 years of hands-on electronics or test engineering experience.
  • Strong background in electronics, circuit analysis, and IC test & measurement methods.
  • Proficiency in programming for test development (C, C++, Visual Basic).
  • Practical knowledge of general test techniques and test equipment usage.
  • Ability to analyze data with statistical tools and communicate results clearly.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with test automation frameworks and scripting (NI LabWindows/CVI, NI LabView, NI TestStand, Python, C#, Keysight OpenTap).
  • Nice-to-have: familiarity with RF/microwave and mixed-signal instruments (network analyzers, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power meters, phase-noise analyzers).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field is required. A Master’s degree in Electronics or a related field is listed as preferred. No certifications were specified.
