Test Engineer
Role Summary
The Test Engineer is a technical lead in the R&D laboratory responsible for developing and implementing test methods, equipment, and processes to verify product compliance with design, manufacturing, and customer requirements. This role supports new product development, environmental qualification, and product validation and acts as a technical interface between Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Program Management.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead design, development, and implementation of cost-effective test methods and troubleshooting for product development and manufacturing.
- Develop and execute tests for diagnostic programs; design test fixtures and test equipment.
- Create specifications and procedures for new products and test programs.
- Coordinate labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating devices.
- Ensure laboratory and test programs comply with good laboratory/manufacturing/clinical practices as applicable.
- Set test parameters and perform testing of customer samples.
- Serve as the technical interface among engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program management to ensure product readiness and reliability.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills for working with internal teams, suppliers, and external customers.
- Ability to develop and implement test methods, troubleshoot systems, and support test equipment deployment.
- Position requires eligibility to obtain authorization under ITAR and/or EAR; non-U.S. persons may not be eligible.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with data acquisition systems, sensors, instrumentation, and engineering test software.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and engineering specifications.
- Working knowledge of DO-160 and aerospace qualification methodologies.
- Familiarity with LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, or automated test system development.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree (university degree) required or equivalent relevant work experience; no specific field of study specified. Equivalent practical experience is accepted as an alternative.
