Product Power Engineer
Role Summary
The Product Power Engineer will collect, analyze, and optimize power consumption for SiFive IP and processor designs. This role partners with architecture, RTL/implementation, and silicon teams to improve power models, correlate RTL and silicon measurements, and optimize power/performance trade-offs.
Experience Level
Mid-level. The posting requests 3+ years of experience in power benchmarking, analysis, and modeling.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Collect and analyze power consumption data for SiFive IP across design stages (model, RTL, silicon).
- Work with architecture and design teams to identify and implement power optimizations.
- Correlate power models with RTL and silicon measurements and refine models.
- Develop and improve power analysis flows and benchmarking methodologies.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- 3+ years of experience in power benchmarking, analysis, and modeling.
- Experience understanding power impacts at architecture, logic-design, and circuit levels.
- Strong knowledge of high-performance out-of-order CPU architecture.
- Experience guiding trade-offs between performance and power to reach optimal designs.
- Experience with ASIC power analysis and optimization flows.
- Hands-on experience in either hardware development (RTL/implementation/verification/backend/FPGA) or software development is a strong plus.
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.

Education Requirements
MS or PhD in Computer Science or Computer Architecture (specified in posting).
