Test Development Intern

Role Summary

Hands-on internship supporting test development and production support for semiconductor products at Nexperia Seremban. Work with test engineers to develop, validate and maintain test programs, analyze test data, and support automation initiatives in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship suitable for current undergraduate students or new graduates; position intended for students pursuing an undergraduate degree.

Responsibilities

The role focuses on assisting the test development team with validation, data analysis, automation and production support tasks.

• Support development, debugging and maintenance of semiconductor test programs.
• Assist tester setup, validation and correlation for new and existing products.
• Analyze test data, yield trends and failure patterns to support improvements.
• Participate in characterization, qualification and production ramp-up activities.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and R&D teams.
• Support automation and scripting to improve test efficiency and robustness.
• Explore AI/ML applications for predictive analysis, anomaly detection and test optimization.

• Must-have: Familiarity with programming or scripting (Python, C/C++, MATLAB) and strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Must-have: Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in teams; self-motivated and proactive.
• Nice-to-have: Basic semiconductor testing concepts, experience with ATE or test development flows, and familiarity with automation/scripting for engineering tasks.
• Nice-to-have: Knowledge of AI, machine learning or data analytics tools for data-driven projects.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science or a related discipline. (Undergraduate student status required.) No specific certifications or equivalent-experience language given.
