Technology Field Application Engineer – FPGA

Role Summary

Field Application Engineer on the Nordic Engineering team supporting customers' R&D with FPGA technology selection, design guidance, and technical enablement. The role focuses on customers in Sweden (preferred), with remote work and optional presence from offices in Kista or Göteborg.

Primary mission: advise customers on FPGA solutions, grow FPGA market share in the Nordics, and deliver training and technical support across projects.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Specific years of experience not specified; role expects practical electronics and FPGA knowledge.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include technical support, customer engagement, and market development.

  • Advise development teams on selecting FPGA technologies and related components.
  • Support customer R&D projects and participate in multiple development engagements.
  • Drive growth of FPGA market share in the Nordic region in cooperation with regional FPGA FAEs.
  • Prepare and conduct technical trainings, events, and customer meetings.
  • Guide technical priorities based on supplier strategies and market conditions.
  • Travel within Sweden for customer visits as required.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, capabilities, and language/travel requirements; concise distinction between required and desirable items.

  • Must-have: Practical experience with electronics and solid understanding of FPGA technology in depth.
  • Must-have: Fluent in Swedish and English.
  • Must-have: Driving license and willingness to travel within Sweden.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience in FPGA electronic design.
  • Nice-to-have: Outgoing personality and experience delivering trainings or technical presentations.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering (B.Sc / M.Sc) or equivalent in electronics is stated as the expected qualification.
