Technology Field Application Engineer – FPGA
Role Summary
Field-facing engineering role supporting customers in the UK and Ireland to select and implement FPGA technologies and components. Work with customers, suppliers and internal teams to translate technical requirements into FPGA-based solutions and to grow Arrow's FPGA business locally.

Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include technical support, customer engagement, and enablement activities.
- Support customers’ R&D and engineering teams in selecting FPGA technologies and components.
- Engage at all stages of the design lifecycle, from early technical discussions to implementation and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal Field Application Engineering teams to develop solutions and grow FPGA business in the UK & Ireland.
- Prepare and deliver technical training, events and customer/supplier meetings.
- Provide technical guidance based on customer needs, supplier strategy and market trends.
- Regular travel across the UK and Ireland for customer visits; work from home or the Harlow office as required.
Requirements
Essential skills, competencies, and conditions for the role.
- Practical experience in electronics and a strong understanding of FPGA technology and its applications.
- Hands-on experience working directly with customers, suppliers and technical teams; strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluent English.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the UK and Ireland.
- Ability to deliver technical training and presentations.
- Comfortable working remotely and from a local office when required.

Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electronics Engineering or equivalent practical experience (the posting explicitly allows equivalent practical experience in place of a degree).
