Technology Enablement Principal - DFT, In-System Test
Role Summary
Principal engineer responsible for driving adoption of Tessent In-System Test solutions across customers and internal teams. Work spans technical enablement, methodology and flow definition, close collaboration with R&D, field engineers, and customers, and tactical support for sales and deployments.
Experience Level
Level: Senior. The role requests 10+ years of relevant experience in the semiconductor or EDA industry.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on technology enablement, customer engagement, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver DFT and in-system test solutions.
- Drive adoption and simplify tool usage through ecosystem and flow development.
- Provide strategic support to sales and customers via architecture reviews, methodology definition, testcases and automation.
- Deliver tactical field support and resolve customer/internal tickets.
- Collaborate with Tessent R&D and field teams to validate new releases within complex IC design flows.
- Develop solutions and new methodologies to address complex technical issues.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and executive audiences.
- Promote partnerships and product differentiation with customers.
- Share knowledge across teams in written and spoken form.
- Travel domestically and internationally as required.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, experience, and personal attributes for success in this role.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in the semiconductor or electronic design automation (EDA) industry.
- Expert knowledge in one or more: DFT for complex ASICs/SoCs, ATPG, LBIST, MBIST, IEEE 1687 (IJTAG), hierarchical DFT, chip-level integration, DFT architecture, packetized test delivery, and IC design flow automation.
- Proven ability to work as an individual contributor and lead technical engagements with customers.
- High initiative and willingness to learn new DFT methodologies and technologies.
- Strong relationship-building and conflict-resolution skills; experience managing technical discussions and stakeholder dynamics.
- Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills for both technical and executive audiences.
Education Requirements
BS degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related field; equivalent practical experience is accepted.
