Technology Development Program Manager
Role Summary
Lead end-to-end semiconductor technology development programs at Fab 8 in Malta, coordinating cross-functional engineering teams to move technologies from concept through qualification and into the global technology roadmap.
This is a program- and project-management position focused on planning, execution, governance, stakeholder alignment, and continuous improvement of PM processes for complex technical development efforts.
Experience Level
Mid-level β several years of experience in semiconductor technology development or managing complex technical projects.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include program leadership, cross-functional coordination, stakeholder communication, and process execution.
- Lead end-to-end technology development programs within PMA/TPP governance at Fab 8 (Malta).
- Plan, manage and monitor program scope, resources, schedule, budget, and risk.
- Ensure alignment with MRD/PRD targets and internal quality standards and drive product qualification activities.
- Collaborate with Device, Integration, Yield, AME, Operations, IE, QA and other technical teams to drive program milestones.
- Lead core teams, influence stakeholders without formal authority, and drive decisions in technical environments.
- Prepare and conduct program reviews (e.g., PMA, TPC, gate reviews); manage changes, escalations and risk mitigation.
- Apply and improve PM tools and processes (for example MS Project, Anaplan, Clarity); drive KPIs, reporting and governance improvements.
- Support Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) requirements and perform activities in a safe and responsible manner.
Requirements
Must-have technical and program management capabilities; nice-to-have items listed separately.
- Several years of experience in semiconductor technology, technology development, or managing complex technical projects/programs.
- Strong understanding of FDX technologies, semiconductor process flows, or process integration.
- Proven ability to lead complex technical projects or programs and deliver results.
- Strong analytical skills and a structured, results-oriented work style.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills across multiple hierarchical levels.
- Ability to influence stakeholders, drive clarity and make decisions in dynamic technical environments.
- Experience using PM tools and contributing to governance and process improvements.
- Nice-to-have: experience in high-volume fabs, global cross-disciplinary teams, and familiarity with MRD/PRD alignment and qualification processes.
Education Requirements
University degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Computer Science, or a comparable technical field.
