Technology Development Intern
Role Summary
Support role within Global Operations focused on transistor and device development, characterization, and lab testing. Work is project-based and performed under mentorship with exposure to fabrication and test processes.
Opportunity to gain hands-on semiconductor lab experience and contribute to engineering projects.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship for current undergraduate or graduate students; no prior professional years-of-experience required.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Perform development activities for transistor design and fabrication.
- Collect data using lab bench tools and perform device characterization and on-wafer measurements.
- Analyze experimental data with tools such as Data Brix, JMP, Spotfire, or Excel.
- Design experiments, validate results, and develop test plans.
- Execute one or more projects involving transistor layout, epi characterization, or device testing.
Requirements
Must-have skills and conditions:
- Knowledge or coursework in semiconductor device physics and electrical engineering topics (Epi exposure, device layout, on-wafer measurement).
- Willingness to perform hands-on lab work and experimental validation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with electrical engineering tools (circuit simulators, layout software, TCAD, VNA/PNA, spectrum analyzers) is preferred.
- Experience with ADS/AWR or circuit layout software is preferred.
- Position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Education Requirements
Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program (BS, MS, or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related technical field. Minimum 3.0 GPA.
