Technician Trainer
Role Summary
The Technician Trainer implements and delivers hands‑on technical training and certification programs for production technicians. This role works with operations and engineering stakeholders to maintain and improve handler, tester, and equipment training, ensuring technicians meet certification and recertification requirements.
Experience Level
Entry-level — minimum 1 year semiconductor industry experience required.
Responsibilities
Primary tasks include designing, delivering, and maintaining technical and skills-based training for production technicians.
- Implement and facilitate handler, tester, and equipment training to support technician certification and recertification.
- Deliver SOP and skills-based training as part of orientation and onboarding for new technicians.
- Create, update, and maintain training modules and certification/recertification exams.
- Organize and communicate quarterly recertification schedules; monitor on-time completion.
- Collaborate with managers and subject-matter experts to identify training needs and revise materials to match operational requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement (TQM Plus) projects to enhance training effectiveness.
Requirements

- Minimum 1 year experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Technical experience with handlers, testers, and/or probers and the ability to teach practical skills to technicians.
- Proven verbal and written communication and facilitation skills for classroom and shop-floor training.
- Experience developing or following SOPs and organizing skills-based training programs.
- Ability to coordinate training schedules, track certification status, and report completion.
- Comfort working with operations and engineering stakeholders to align training content with shop requirements.

Nice-to-have: proficiency with digital training tools such as video editing and AI-assisted learning.
Education Requirements
Graduate of at least a 3-year technical diploma in electronics, mechatronics, industrial technology, or a related technical field.
