Role Summary
Join Microchip's Data Center Solutions (DCS) Applications Engineering team to enable customer platforms for high-performance PCIe, storage, and emerging CXL architectures. The role focuses on platform bring-up, system-level debug, customer enablement, and cross-functional collaboration with product, validation, marketing, and sales teams.

Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership for customer platform enablement, debug system-level issues, and support product integration from early bring-up through production.
- Lead customer platform enablement for Switchtec PCIe switch products and system-level solutions for data-center and AI platforms.
- Partner with hyperscale AI and global storage customers to define technical requirements and manage deliverables through release.
- Drive platform-level debug, resolve complex system issues, and produce hardware guides, reference designs, firmware updates, and tools.
- Deliver technical training and presentations; mentor junior engineers.
- Work cross-functionally across hardware, firmware, QA, and product teams to define requirements and deliverables.
- Lead technical discussions to optimize system design, performance, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve firmware and system-level issues using data-center-class debug workflows and laboratory tools.
- Travel to customer sites as needed to support deployments and debug systems (0%–25% travel).
Requirements
