Technical Project Manager – Project Enablement

Role Summary

Manage project enablement and IP governance activities for engineering projects. Coordinate with engineering and cross-functional partners to establish compliant project workspaces, infrastructure, and processes across the project lifecycle.

Experience Level

Mid-level; typically 5+ years of relevant experience in technical program/project management, engineering operations, IT, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Support project setup, governance, tracking, and continuous improvement across multiple teams.

  • Partner with engineering to gather project startup requirements, including participants and BOM of design assets.
  • Coordinate infrastructure and workspace setup with engineering, IT, and stakeholders while following IP governance and compliance processes.
  • Work with trade compliance, legal, procurement, HR, and program teams to resolve project setup issues.
  • Track project setup activities and drive completion of requirements and milestones.
  • Assess impacts of scope changes on infrastructure and setup requirements; coordinate responses.
  • Apply and improve governance for estimation, enablement, tracking, and reporting.
  • Identify and automate recurring enablement, tracking, reporting, and audit tasks.
  • Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and status reporting for cost, quality, delivery, and operations.
  • Identify and escalate risks related to export compliance, third-party IP obligations, and internal IP policies.
  • Document processes, decisions, and lessons learned to enable consistent execution.

  • Must-have: Typically 5+ years of relevant experience in technical program management, project management, engineering operations, IT, or related roles.
  • Must-have: Demonstrated experience coordinating technical projects across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Must-have: Familiarity with engineering development workflows and tooling; understanding of project infrastructure and workspace requirements.
  • Must-have: Working knowledge of compliance, third-party IP management, vendor/contractor management, or related governance processes.
  • Must-have: Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple activities, identify risks/dependencies, and escalate appropriately.
  • Must-have: Experience applying and improving established processes and working across global, cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with SOC/ASIC development environments.
  • Experience with automation, data analysis, or dashboard/reporting tools (Python, Power BI, or equivalent).
  • Experience working with external vendors or partners on engineering projects.
