Technical Program Manager, Silicon Product Definition

Role Summary

Lead end-to-end program execution for silicon, board and system products from bring-up to mass production. Work with engineering, operations and cross-functional partners to define objectives, resolve technical and execution risks, and deliver products on schedule and within budget.

Experience Level

Senior level. Typical experience: 7+ years with a BS, or 5+ years with an MS in semiconductor/board/system program management or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Accountable for planning, driving and reporting progress across complex semiconductor and system development programs.

  • Lead the product lifecycle for silicon-based products, including milestone planning, risk management, and ramp to mass production.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (design, validation, firmware, software, operations, marketing) to define project requirements and deliverables.
  • Provide technical guidance on chip, board and system development and resolve execution challenges.
  • Own technical requirement collateral and feature definitions; ensure alignment between engineering and product stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain detailed project schedules, monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigations.
  • Prepare and present regular status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement of program management processes and operational efficiency.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience required to perform the role effectively.

  • Proven track record managing complex semiconductor and system projects from concept to delivery.
  • Hands-on experience in development of silicon-based products and board/system integration.
  • Deep understanding of silicon product development lifecycle, board development, software interactions, and product development engineering (PDE).
  • Experience making hardware product feature tradeoffs and driving technical decisions across teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; ability to coordinate multiple technical and business teams.
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, able to manage multiple concurrent priorities and drive execution to completion.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
