Technical Program Manager, Silicon
Role Summary
Lead and drive complex silicon development programs from concept through production for Meta's custom chip initiatives. Partner closely with engineering, product, manufacturing, and verification teams to ensure predictable tape-out schedules, manufacturing readiness, and post-silicon validation.
Experience Level
Senior β requires extensive experience managing silicon programs; hiring guidance: 10+ years of relevant experience in silicon development, hardware engineering, or technical program/product management.
Responsibilities
Own program execution and cross-team coordination across the full ASIC/SoC lifecycle.
- Coordinate cross-organizational partners to deliver large-scale silicon workstreams and meet tape-out and production goals.
- Bootstrap and manage programs in ambiguous technical areas with multiple dependencies and stakeholders.
- Track program progress, identify risks and issues, and drive mitigation actions across milestones.
- Provide end-to-end ownership and influence strategic direction for silicon development with engineering leadership.
- Resolve conflicts, clarify priorities, and drive execution across design, verification, and manufacturing readiness.
- Contribute technical program expertise to planning, verification, tape-out, and post-silicon validation activities.
Requirements

- Must-have: 10+ years of experience delivering complex silicon programs or products from inception to production, with emphasis on chip development and tape-out.
- Proven ability to operate across multiple engineering teams, define project scope, gather specifications, and align technical requirements to product objectives.
- Experience defining and optimizing silicon engineering processes at scale and driving program-level strategy and execution.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at executive levels and influence leadership on readiness and risk.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and foundry/vendor relationships.
- Experience across the ASIC/SoC lifecycle from architecture through production and with external partners/vendors.
- Experience with RTL design, verification methodologies, physical design flows, and power/performance/area trade-offs.
- Experience integrating AI tools to optimize workflows and familiarity with responsible AI practices.
- Experience with hardware/software co-development and system integration.
Education Requirements
B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
