Senior Test Development Engineer

Role Summary

Develop hardware and software for RF test and automated test equipment (ATE) to support broadband, base station and RF beam‑forming products. Drive test program development from validation through high‑volume manufacturing to ensure product quality and production readiness.

Work with cross‑functional and global teams to define design‑for‑test requirements, optimize test coverage, and deploy automated production test solutions.

Experience Level

Senior-level; typically 5+ years of hands-on RF product development and test engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include test development, validation, and production deployment.

• Develop, debug, optimize and deploy RF ATE test programs on platforms such as Cohu LTX (LTX-ac/LTX-Pax), DMDX or equivalent.
• Collaborate with RF design teams to define DFT requirements and improve product testability.
• Perform RF and microwave measurements and analysis (S‑parameters, gain, output power, insertion/return loss, noise figure, harmonics, linearity, phase noise, EVM) and apply calibration methodologies.
• Operate, troubleshoot and correlate measurements from VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, noise figure analyzers and oscilloscopes.
• Lead cross-functional and global project teams to manage test development initiatives and ensure manufacturing readiness.
• Design and maintain automated test solutions to improve coverage, repeatability, yield and production throughput.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and hands-on experience.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in RF product development and test engineering, including test hardware and fixture development, product characterization, qualification and production test implementation.
• Proven experience with Cohu LTX (LTX-ac / LTX-Pax) and DMDX tester platforms or equivalent RF ATE.
• Strong expertise in RF ATE test program development, debug, optimization and production deployment.
• In-depth knowledge of RF/microwave measurement techniques and calibration procedures.
• Proficiency with RF test instrumentation and correlation of results across multiple instruments.
• Experience developing automated test solutions using Python, C#, LabVIEW, MATLAB or similar programming languages.
• Ability to lead projects and communicate effectively with global cross-functional teams.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline with strong understanding of RF, microwave and semiconductor test technologies.
