Technical Program Manager, ASIC

Role Summary

Lead cross-functional, multi-site teams to deliver ASICs for Meta's Infrastructure Engineering organization. Partner with engineering, architecture, software, hardware, sourcing and vendor teams to define roadmaps, monitor progress, and deliver production-ready silicon and firmware.

Experience Level

Senior - requires 10+ years of ASIC development experience and 2+ years in program/product or engineering management.

Responsibilities

Operate as the technical program lead across the ASIC lifecycle and coordinate stakeholders to deliver high-quality silicon solutions.

• Manage cross-functional infrastructure programs in a matrix organization across Silicon Engineering, Platform Software, Hardware Systems, Sourcing & Operations and vendors.
• Drive and manage ASIC development and subsystems with vendors from concept to production.
• Provide hands-on program management across phases: concept, design, development, fabrication, validation, qualification and production release.
• Define product development roadmaps, milestones and success metrics; monitor and communicate progress.
• Coordinate requirements and constraints with software, hardware and architecture teams.
• Drive process improvements and manage vendor relationships to ensure on-time, high-quality deliveries.

Requirements

Key must-have skills and experience, followed by relevant preferred qualifications.

• Must-have: 10+ years of experience in ASIC development.
• Must-have: 2+ years of experience in program/product management or engineering management with proven product delivery.
• Must-have: Hands-on experience managing ASIC design flow: architecture, micro-architecture, RTL, synthesis, functional verification, and physical layout.
• Must-have: Experience with pre-silicon testing (emulation, FPGA) and post-silicon validation.
• Must-have: Proven ability to manage stakeholder communication and alignment across cross-functional teams.
• Must-have: Experience leading cross-functional programs: defining milestones, coordinating teams, and driving execution to delivery.
• Nice-to-have: RTL design experience (VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog) and modern design verification methodologies.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with semiconductor startups, manufacturing processes, ODMs/vendors, or data center architecture and deployment.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with ML training/inference silicon, demonstrated AI tooling skills, and experience with responsible AI practices.

Education Requirements

BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another technical field (as stated in the posting).
