Technical Program Manager

Role Summary

The Technical Program Manager will lead and deliver complex, cross-functional engineering programs within Intel's Central Engineering Group (CEG). This role works with engineering, business, and leadership stakeholders to define scope, remove technical roadblocks, optimize schedules and resources, and drive measurable outcomes.

Position sits in the Program Management, Operations, and Strategy (PMOS) team and focuses on delivering technical solutions across disciplines such as electrical, hardware, manufacturing, mechanical, process, and software.

Experience Level

Level - Mid-Career. Targeted to experienced individual contributors with multiple years managing engineering projects (typical range: 3–7 years of relevant experience).

Responsibilities

Own program delivery across engineering domains, ensuring alignment to business and customer priorities.

  • Lead and manage large-scale engineering projects and cross-functional programs.
  • Define project scope, priorities, deliverables, schedules, and interdependencies with stakeholders.
  • Plan resources, optimize schedules, and track program milestones and financial status.
  • Identify, triage, and resolve technical roadblocks; coordinate technical solutions across teams.
  • Provide program health, risk, and status reporting to executives and department leads.
  • Deliver products with measurable customer value by understanding needs and usage gaps.
  • Mentor and advise project/program managers; improve program management processes.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve engineering execution and outcomes.

  • Ability to provide transparent program reporting on risks, schedule, and finances to stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with industry trends and developing innovative engineering solutions.

Education Requirements

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's (BS) in an engineering-related field plus at least 6 years of experience; or Master's degree plus 4 years; or PhD plus 2 years of experience managing engineering projects/programs. No specific certifications were listed.
