Job Title

Principal Technical Product Manager

Role Summary

Responsible for product vision, strategy, and lifecycle for a product or product family within Siemens EDA, from concept through end-of-life. Works cross-functionally with engineering, product marketing, sales, and leadership to deliver software solutions that meet customer needs and business goals.

Focus areas include go-to-market planning, customer engagement, prioritization of features, and coordination of Agile development to achieve revenue, adoption, and satisfaction targets.

Experience Level

Senior β€” Principal-level role. Requires at least 5 years product management experience; 10+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

Own product strategy and delivery; engage customers and internal stakeholders to define and execute roadmaps.

  • Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap; manage product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life.
  • Translate customer needs and business objectives into requirements, user stories, and prototypes.
  • Prioritize features and scope based on business impact, customer value, and technical feasibility.
  • Lead cross-functional planning and Agile sprints with engineering, product marketing, and sales.
  • Plan and execute product launches and go-to-market activities; support adoption and pricing decisions.
  • Engage directly with customers and partners to gather feedback, validate direction, and build advocacy.
  • Negotiate vendor and partner agreements and represent the product line externally.
  • Monitor product performance (revenue, adoption, customer satisfaction) and adjust strategy accordingly.

Requirements

Key must-have skills and experiences; preferences noted where applicable.

  • Minimum 5 years as a software product manager working with software development teams; 10+ years preferred.
  • Experience with electronics design tools or domains (Mentor/Siemens, Cadence, Altium, Zuken).
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to engage audiences at multiple levels.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Agile and Scrum development practices.
  • Business acumen to define pricing, packaging, and investment priorities.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites for feedback and engagements as required.
  • Authorized to negotiate and execute contracts related to product offerings.
  • Employment subject to U.S. export control (ITAR/EAR); must be a U.S. Person or obtain required export license.
  • Language: fluent English; Polish is a plus.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline (as stated in the posting).
