Senior FPGA Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for verification of FPGA-based designs using SystemVerilog and UVM methodologies. Work with cross-functional hardware and firmware teams to deliver verified FPGA designs for defense-related systems in Marlborough, MA.
Experience Level
Senior β requires at least 8 years of relevant FPGA verification or digital design verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on planning, implementing, and executing verification for FPGA designs.
- Develop and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches and verification environments.
- Define verification plans, create directed and constrained-random tests, and track coverage closure.
- Run simulations, perform debug, and triage functional issues in RTL and FPGA builds.
- Support hardware bring-up, lab validation, and FPGA-in-the-loop testing.
- Collaborate with RTL designers, firmware engineers, and system architects to resolve issues.
- Produce verification reports, metrics, and documentation for design reviews.
- Mentor junior verification engineers and contribute to verification process improvements.
Requirements
Required technical skills, security, and experience for the role.
- Extensive experience with SystemVerilog and UVM for verification of FPGA/RTL designs.
- Strong background in digital verification methodologies, testbench architecture, and functional coverage.
- Experience debugging simulation failures and FPGA hardware issues.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant FPGA verification or digital design verification experience.
- U.S. citizenship and DoD clearance are mandatory.
- Effective communication and teamwork in cross-disciplinary engineering teams.

Nice-to-have: scripting experience (Python, TCL), familiarity with FPGA toolflows and lab instrumentation.
Education Requirements
STEM degree required β typically a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
