Job Title

Technical NPI Program Manager - Senior Principal

Role Summary

The Technical NPI Program Manager leads end-to-end new product introduction (NPI) programs from concept through development, industrialization and production ramp. This role is the single point of accountability for program execution and coordinates engineering, operations, supply chain and quality to deliver products on time, on cost and at target quality.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The role expects approximately 5–10+ years of program or project management experience in high-tech or manufacturing environments, with demonstrable NPI/product development experience.

Responsibilities

Manage and deliver NPI programs and ensure manufacturing readiness and ramp performance.

  • Lead programs from concept through volume production; define scope, milestones and deliverables.
  • Create and maintain integrated program plans (WBS, schedules, critical path) and drive execution versus targets (cost, schedule, quality, performance).
  • Coordinate global cross-functional teams across silicon/HW/SW engineering, product management, manufacturing, test, supply chain and quality.
  • Drive NPI lifecycle phases: feasibility, design & development, EVT/DVT/PVT, and manufacturing ramp.
  • Ensure component/supplier readiness, tooling and factory readiness, and qualified test/production flows.
  • Identify and mitigate program risks; lead resolution and escalation of cross-functional issues.
  • Manage program budget, cost tracking, forecasting and resource allocation; support cost optimization and BOM evolution.
  • Lead governance: phase/gate reviews, executive updates and data-driven status reporting; capture lessons learned.

Requirements

Core capabilities and practical experience required for immediate contribution.

  • Proven experience managing NPI or product development programs in a high-tech or manufacturing setting.
  • Strong cross-functional influence in matrix organizations and experience driving multi-discipline teams.
  • Advanced planning and scheduling skills (WBS, critical path analysis) and program execution discipline.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain coordination, and production ramp activities.
  • Risk management, problem-solving and issue-resolution track record on complex programs.
  • Financial acumen: budget management, cost tracking and margin-focused decision making.
  • Excellent communication with technical teams and senior leadership; able to operate in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
  • Semiconductor or electronics industry experience is preferred but not strictly required.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Semiconductor, Software or a related field is requested in the posting.
