Role Summary

Lead the definition and delivery of the engineering JIRA and Atlassian ecosystem to improve defect management, automation, reporting, and cross-team governance for semiconductor and systems engineering teams.

The role partners with engineering, verification, implementation, validation, software and program teams to standardize workflows, drive adoption, and deliver data-driven dashboards and automation.

Experience Level

Senior level — typically requires 8+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, Atlassian platform development, or engineering execution tooling.

Responsibilities

Own and improve engineering execution tools, processes, and reporting across multiple engineering domains.

• Define and deploy standardized JIRA workflows, issue taxonomy, defect tracking processes, and engineering governance.
• Partner with cross-functional engineering and program teams to harmonize processes and drive adoption.
• Design, develop, and extend Atlassian solutions (JIRA, Confluence); implement custom workflows, automations, and integrations.
• Develop data pipelines, web applications, and executive dashboards that surface project health, milestone readiness, defect trends, and execution metrics.
• Build integrations between Atlassian data and enterprise engineering databases for reporting and analytics.
• Make architectural decisions for workflow automation, mentor engineers, and lead technical improvements to execution and delivery.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, tooling experience, and leadership capabilities required to perform the role.

• Strong experience administering and developing solutions on the Atlassian platform (JIRA, Confluence).
• Good understanding of Atlassian architecture, database schema, REST APIs, workflows, permissions, and automation.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for scripting, API development, and database querying.
• Experience building modern web applications and dashboards with frameworks such as React, Angular, Flask, or similar.
• Proven ability to lead partners across multiple engineering teams and to drive adoption of tools and processes.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience in semiconductor or EDA environments and familiarity with the SoC development lifecycle.
• Experience integrating JIRA with CI/CD pipelines, enterprise engineering tools, and analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with Atlassian ecosystem apps such as ScriptRunner, Assets, Structure, or EazyBI.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent practical experience) in Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field. The posting also specifies 8+ years of relevant experience.
