Job Title

Technical Engineering Intern - Design Verification Internship

Role Summary

The Design Verification Intern will support verification of semiconductor IP and SoC solutions by developing and executing verification testcases, running simulations, and assisting with testbench and verification environment development. The role works with design, verification, and validation teams to identify and resolve functional issues and improve product quality.

Onsite in Da Nang, Vietnam for a full-time, six-month internship (Dec 2026–May 2027).

Experience Level

Entry-level internship; suitable for students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate technical program. No prior professional experience required beyond academic projects or laboratory work.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include verification, simulation, debugging, and collaboration.

  • Develop and execute verification testcases using SystemVerilog and UVM methodologies, including constrained-random tests and functional coverage.
  • Run simulations with EDA tools, analyze results, and debug design issues.
  • Assist in building and improving verification environments and testbenches; implement verification IP for protocols such as PCIe, UCIe, DDR, AXI, APB, and AHB.
  • Create and analyze functional coverage models to assess verification completeness.
  • Collaborate with design, verification, and validation teams; communicate findings and propose fixes.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and abilities:

  • Digital design fundamentals: combinational/sequential logic, finite state machines, clocking and reset concepts.
  • Knowledge of Verilog/SystemVerilog for RTL design and verification.
  • Familiarity with verification methodologies, preferably UVM.
  • Understanding of verification techniques: testcase development, constrained-random testing, functional coverage, and debugging.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and simulation tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; effective written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and in teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Assertion-based verification (SVA) and coverage-driven verification techniques.
  • Scripting experience (Python, Perl, Shell, TCL) and version control (Git).
  • Familiarity with industry-standard protocols (PCIe, UCIe, DDR, AXI, APB, AHB, SPI, I2C, UART).
  • Experience with FPGA or hardware verification projects.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline (enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program required for the internship).
