Technical Engagement Manager (Packaging)
Role Summary
Lead a team of applications engineers providing technical support for KLA's inspection and metrology products in customer wafer fabrication and packaging facilities. Work with product marketing, sales, and product divisions to influence product strategy and ensure solutions meet customer requirements.
Primary mission: resolve manufacturing yield issues, deploy inspection solutions, and advance product capabilities for semiconductor packaging.
Experience Level
Senior — Manager role; managerial or supervisory experience preferred. Years of experience not specified.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and mentor applications engineering team supporting customer installations and deployments.
- Investigate semiconductor manufacturing yield issues and develop inspection-based solutions.
- Design and execute experiments and evaluate data for complex technical problems.
- Collaborate with product marketing, sales, and product divisions to define customer-driven requirements and influence product development.
- Present technical findings and product capabilities to customer and company management.
- Assist sales in assessing product applicability and preparing detailed product specifications.
Requirements

- Strong communication, organizational, analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-driven, persistent problem-solver and effective team player.
- Experience working with customers in a technical support or applications role.
- Managerial or supervisory experience is advantageous.
- Experience in semiconductor wafer packaging is a plus.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
