Technical Director — Power Technology & Foundry Engineering (HV/BCD)
Role Summary
Lead a technical organization developing and optimizing high-voltage (HV) and BCD process technologies (roughly 180nm–40nm) for new product introductions. Own technical direction, resource planning, and strategic alignment with foundry partners and business lines across the Greater China foundry ecosystem.
Experience Level
Senior — requires at least 10 years of technical experience with foundry technology and a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience.
Responsibilities
Accountable for technical leadership, delivery, and partner management to meet roadmap and product objectives.
- Lead an experienced team developing advanced 180nm–40nm HV and BCD process technologies for NPI across business lines.
- Develop and optimize HV and BCD device architectures using device-physics and data-driven approaches to meet performance and reliability targets.
- Manage team operations: performance management, hiring, retention, mentoring, and resource allocation.
- Build and maintain relationships with foundry partners to drive NXP priorities and secure necessary resources.
- Serve as liaison for project updates to stakeholders and communicate company information to team members.
- Lead or participate in operational improvement and benchmarking efforts (e.g., lessons learned, CMMI) to improve FEI effectiveness.
- Align with business-line partners and NTT teams to drive technology roadmap decisions and maximize R&D return.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications and skills.
- 10+ years of technical experience in foundry technology and development.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience managing engineering teams.
- Deep knowledge of HV and BCD process technologies and device physics; experience across 180nm–40nm nodes preferred.
- Proven ability to work effectively with foundry partners and cross-functional teams to drive projects to on-time execution.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills; ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.
- Business acumen with experience in resource planning and R&D prioritization.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with new-product-introduction (NPI) processes and cross-functional product alignment.
- Familiarity with operational improvement frameworks and benchmarking activities.
