Technical Director, Infrastructure SoC Software
Role Summary
Lead technical direction for a globally distributed software engineering team responsible for infrastructure SoC, firmware and system-level software for Arm's Neoverse and data center platforms. Drive architecture, delivery and cross-discipline decisions from pre-silicon through silicon bring-up to production readiness.
Relocation and visa sponsorship support are available where required.

Senior β director-level technical leadership role. Prior experience leading large, distributed engineering organisations expected; no specific years-of-experience stated.
Responsibilities
You will lead engineering direction and collaborate across hardware and software functions. Key responsibilities include:
- Provide technical direction across SoC, firmware and system validation from pre-silicon to production readiness.
- Partner with senior leaders in hardware, software, architecture and product to align strategy and drive organisation-level decisions.
- Analyse product requirements, architecture specifications and industry standards to drive software design.
- Establish and lead development practices for software efficiency, quality and predictable delivery.
- Mentor technical leads and influence engineering culture and processes across geographically distributed teams.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Proven technical leadership of large, globally distributed engineering organisations in embedded or infrastructure SoC domains.
- Strong background in SoC, firmware, platform software and system-level validation in pre-silicon and silicon environments.
- Deep expertise in low-level systems: bootloaders, device drivers, OS fundamentals (preferably Linux) and computer architecture.
- Excellent technical judgement, leadership, and communication with a track record of influencing senior stakeholders.
Nice-to-have:
- Knowledge of server-class SoCs: RAS, power management, PCIe, CXL, memory and virtualization.
- Familiarity with the Linux kernel, Trusted Firmware-A (TF-A), UEFI EDK II, OpenBMC or KVM.
- Experience acting as technical lead for teams of ~100+ engineers in the SoC space.
