Senior RF/Analog Analysis and Characterization Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for pre- and post-silicon analysis, characterization, lab bring-up and performance evaluation of RF, analog and PHY system circuit blocks. Collaborates with design and validation teams to define tests, correlate measurements with design, and close functional and performance gaps.
Position is based in the Raanana manufacturing team and focuses on ensuring IC blocks and systems meet specification and competitive requirements.
Experience Level
Senior β requires more than 3 years of experience in RF/analog system or chip design with hands-on silicon bring-up and debugging.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Define evaluation methods, test plans and key parameters for block and system validation.
- Lead pre-silicon analysis to identify issues prior to tape-out.
- Bring up silicon in the lab and perform performance characterization and correlation.
- Debug block- and system-level issues and implement driver definitions and fixes.
- Optimize silicon system performance and support design with mitigation strategies.
- Develop automation and tooling for analysis, debugging and data collection.
- Analyze measurement data, produce statistics and generate formal datasheet parameters and documentation.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- 3+ years experience in RF/analog system design or chip design with hands-on silicon testing.
- Extensive experience with RF/analog testing equipment and lab measurements.
- Proven ability to debug and resolve complex silicon issues.
- Experience defining tests, correlating measurements to design/simulation, and documenting results.
- Experience creating automation and tooling for data collection and analysis.
- Strong written and spoken English and effective interpersonal/communication skills.
- Ability to influence technical decisions, set and meet goals, and work effectively in a team.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with Cadence Virtuoso (schematics and layout).
- Python for scripting, data analysis or automation.
- Knowledge of competitive RF/analog solutions and industry trends.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master or Bachelor in Electrical Engineering listed as desired).
