Job Title

Tech Lead Ethernet Networking Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Technical lead on the Ethernet Switch Networking Development team in Austin. Responsible for leading verification of NVIDIA's Ethernet software stack by designing and operating test infrastructure, coordinating cross-functional teams, and improving CI/CD and automation workflows.

Base salary range: 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD. Benefits and equity are available.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include architecture, implementation, and coordination of verification efforts across software, firmware and hardware teams.

  • Lead development and optimization of verification software, tools, libraries, and OS verification infrastructure.
  • Design, develop and maintain test suites for network protocols; support pre- and post-silicon testing (bring up, simulation, Palladium).
  • Develop benchmarks and performance indicators; build dashboards, regression analysis, and degradation detection.
  • Improve and transform automation workflows to accelerate software releases.
  • Drive CI/CD pipeline evolution, including adopting automation and AI-driven tooling.
  • Coordinate verification projects across global teams and guide architecture decisions and code reviews.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers; act as a technical role model.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

Must-have:

  • 8+ years developing software for network validation and verification.
  • Expert-level Python programming skills.
  • Experience with large-scale verification or automation frameworks.
  • Strong networking knowledge (L2/L3/L4).
  • Proven Linux proficiency.
  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Gerrit, Docker).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to align multiple teams and deliver results.

Nice-to-have:

  • Background in scalable or distributed systems.
  • Experience with multi-node testing, performance validation, and concurrency debugging.
  • Deep understanding of data center topologies, embedded system architecture, or vendor/merchant silicon validation.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software, Electrical Engineering or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
