Hardware & Silicon Validation Senior Staff Engineer (T4)
Role Summary
Senior hardware validation engineer focused on post-silicon validation and firmware for SSD chipsets. Works in a cross-functional R&D team to validate storage SoC functionality, develop test frameworks, and support customer engagements.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include designing and executing validation tests, developing firmware and tools, and producing validation deliverables.
- Design and run post-silicon validation tests for SSD chipsets during R&D cycles.
- Develop, port, and execute bare-metal firmware to validate storage SoCs.
- Perform pre- and post-silicon testing, including NAND bring-up and functional verification.
- Create and maintain test plans, procedures, and validation reports.
- Develop validation tools, test frameworks, and benchmarking applications.
- Analyze test results and communicate findings to engineering teams and customers.
- Provide technical support to Field Application Engineers and collaborate with Test Engineers for production test development.

Must-have technical skills, lab experience, and security/export eligibility as stated in the posting.

Must have: Proficiency in C/C++ and ARM assembly; strong understanding of 32/64-bit ARM CPU architecture.

Must have: Firmware development experience on bare-metal and/or Linux environments; SoC debugging for embedded systems.

Must have: Hands-on experience with lab instruments (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzers).

Must have: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to work independently and in teams; ownership mentality.

Must have: Eligibility to access export-controlled technology and information as required by U.S. export control laws (export license review may apply).

Nice to have: Prior experience with SSD controllers, NAND PHY bring-up, or system-level SSD validation.

Nice to have: Familiarity with advanced NAND technologies such as LTT and SCA.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience; or Master's/Ph.D. in a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience.
