Systems Engineering
Role Summary
Perform software engineering in R&D for NXP IC and microprocessor products. Design and execute experiments to evaluate physical‑layer wireless performance (for example: transmit EVM, spectrum mask, packet error rate, interference rejection), identify root causes, and implement design improvements. Develop automation and analysis tools and collaborate with digital design teams on PHY algorithm design and bit‑true verification.

Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include:
- Design and conduct wireless PHY experiments and performance tests.
- Evaluate test results, perform root‑cause analysis, and recommend design fixes.
- Develop automation software for performance evaluation, data extraction, and analysis.
- Support evaluation and debug through QA cycles into production.
- Collaborate with digital design teams to support PHY algorithm design and bit‑true verification.
Requirements
Required technical skills and experience:
- Signal processing and digital communication theory.
- Wireless communication systems and networks.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
- Experience with RFSoC platforms and MATLAB.
- Experience with artificial neural computation and machine learning implementations on FPGA.
Nice-to-have: experience with production QA cycles, test automation, and FPGA-based ML deployment.
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or foreign equivalent). The posting expects graduate-level coursework, internship experience, or equivalent practical experience in relevant topics.
