Systems Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Analog Power Products team in Knoxville to define next-generation analog power products. Translate customer and market needs into product specifications and roadmaps while working closely with design, applications, and marketing teams.
Experience Level
Entry-level - requires a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in systems engineering, applications engineering, or IC design in the analog or power semiconductor space.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include analyzing applications, defining product requirements, and validating system-level performance.
- Analyze target applications across automotive, industrial, consumer, and computing markets to identify trends and product opportunities.
- Gather customer and internal requirements and translate them into product specifications and roadmaps.
- Assess architectural trade-offs with IC design teams and contribute to product definitions.
- Evaluate and validate silicon systems (hardware and software) against specifications.
- Troubleshoot and debug system-level issues; provide complete documentation through the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with applications, product/test engineering, and project management to drive new product releases.
- Develop and track NPI strategy to maximize market adoption.

- Must-have: 2+ years in systems engineering, applications engineering, or IC design within analog or power semiconductor domains.
- Must-have: Experience evaluating system-level performance and troubleshooting hardware/software integration.
- Must-have: Ability to interface with customers and internal teams to define product requirements and roadmaps.
- Nice-to-have: Solid knowledge of analog electronics (amplifiers, voltage regulators, data converters, power management topologies).
- Nice-to-have: Experience with modeling and simulation tools (MATLAB, Simulink, SPICE, VerilogAMS, or equivalent).
- Nice-to-have: Programming or scripting for IC configuration, test automation, or data analysis (Python, C, MATLAB).
- Nice-to-have: Prior applications-, design-, or customer-facing technical experience using analog ICs.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with end-equipment markets such as EV/HEV, data center, industrial automation, or personal electronics.
- Nice-to-have: Strong written and verbal communication and analytical skills.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field required; Master's degree preferred.
