Systems Architecture Engineer, Senior to Staff – Agentic AI
Role Summary
Design and validate system-level hardware architecture for low-power Edge AI subsystems across mobile, XR, compute, and automotive products. Work with product management, SoC design, software, and verification teams to define requirements, optimize system power and performance, and support post-silicon commercialization.
Experience Level
Senior (minimum 5+ years system architecture experience at the SoC level). Preferred experience: 8+ years or equivalent senior/staff-level experience.
Responsibilities
Accountable for system architecture definition, optimization, documentation, and cross-team enablement for Edge-AI platforms.
- Capture detailed technology and system requirements with product and engineering teams.
- Author subsystem hardware specifications and technical documentation for reviews.
- Drive system optimization using modelling, simulation, and measurement to balance power, performance, and area.
- Apply low-power design methodology and validation techniques to improve system power profiles.
- Collaborate and enable multiple system and software teams to realize dependent specifications.
- Provide post-silicon commercialization support and customer engineering documentation.
- Lead technical projects, own deliverables, and contribute to invention and patent generation.

Must-have
- 5+ years of system architecture experience at the SoC level or equivalent related experience.
- Strong knowledge of processor, memory, bus architectures and low-power SoC design techniques.
- Background with DSP, machine learning algorithms, or computer architecture concepts relevant to Edge AI.
- Experience with system modelling, simulation, synthesis, timing, and power analysis tools and interpreting results.
- Proven ability to analyze data from simulation and measurement and to create implementation strategies that meet system and product timelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience working across multi-site and cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-have
- 8+ years of system architecture experience at the SoC level.
- Experience with architecture and design tools and with scripting or programming for automation and analysis.
- Prior interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above).
- Experience owning invention/patent activities or defining novel architectures.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of ASIC design/verification or related experience; OR Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience; OR PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience. Preferred fields include Computer Engineering or Architecture. Equivalent practical experience may satisfy degree requirements.
