Entry-level (Internship). Intended for current undergraduate students or new graduates; typically 0–3 years of experience.
Responsibilities
Contribute to system validation, test automation, and CI/CD pipeline improvements in a hardware+software environment.
- Improve and maintain CI/CD workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions) and Jenkins pipelines, including caching, artifact handling, and failure reporting.
- Support hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, automated validation of application boards, and build/test automation.
- Execute board-level testing, application board bring-up, debugging, and log collection to reproduce system-level issues.
- Maintain and enhance test automation scripts (Python/C++), improving coverage, robustness, and scalability.
- Develop and maintain automated GUI testing frameworks and implement regression tests for user interfaces.
- Collaborate with engineers across hardware, firmware, drivers, and software to validate end-to-end workflows.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and practical abilities required to perform the internship tasks.
- Proficiency in Python and/or C/C++ for test and automation development.
- Working knowledge of Linux-based development environments and software workflows.
- Basic hardware understanding: interfaces, debugging, system bring-up, and board-level validation.
- Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to perform hands-on, execution-focused tasks in a lab environment.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
- Experience with embedded systems, board-level debugging, or test automation frameworks.
- Basic knowledge of communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet).
- Interest in system-level validation and cross-domain integration (HW + SW + GUI).
Education Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. (Internship/co-op status expected.)
