Systems and Hardware Enabling Engineer

Role Summary

The engineer will enable integration, validation, and deployment of Intel hardware and platform solutions for customer systems. Work covers solution design, board bring-up, validation, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve production readiness.

Position operates within the Systems and Hardware Enabling team, working with silicon, hardware, and software stakeholders to ensure platform solution readiness and product ramp.

Experience Level

Mid-level - 3+ years of relevant experience in customer engineering, product applications, or hardware systems.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities focus on enabling platform readiness, validation, and customer support.

• Provide technical support for solutions using Intel products to ensure market readiness.
• Drive solution design and enable industry partners for platform readiness and production wins.
• Develop and implement product validation tools, test strategies, and fixtures.
• Perform board bring-up, debugging and lab validation for x86 and ARM platforms.
• Collaborate with silicon, hardware, and software teams during pre- and post-silicon phases.
• Create technical documentation: product specs, hardware design guides, and application notes.
• Deliver product training and provide technical support to resolve development and production issues.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.

• Minimum 3 years in customer engineering, product applications, or hardware systems in semiconductor or client platform environments.
• Strong client architecture and IO knowledge.
• Schematic review and board-level design experience.
• Lab proficiency with oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, and related debug equipment.
• Experience with board bring-up and debug on x86 and ARM platforms.
• Proficiency in Python and/or C++ for automation and test development.
• Clear technical writing, executive presentation skills, and stakeholder management.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with HSIO interfaces.
• Signal integrity / power integrity (SI/PI) simulation or review experience.
• Experience collaborating on pre- and post-silicon validation.
• Advanced degree (M.E./M.Tech/MS) in a relevant field.

Education Requirements

B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering or related field required; M.E./M.Tech or MS in EE/CE preferred (advanced degree listed as preferred). Equivalent practical experience not explicitly stated.
