Job Title

System Testing and Automation Engineer

Role Summary

Join a core engineering team responsible for building and maintaining system-level test and automation for network infrastructure accelerators. The role focuses on developing automated test suites, executing performance and functional validation, debugging complex issues, and driving fixes across software and hardware stacks.

Work closely with cross-functional peers (firmware, hardware, software, and customers) to ensure product quality for networking and accelerator platforms.

Experience Level

Mid-level; the posting prefers candidates with 5+ years of experience in networking testing and automation.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include test planning, automation, execution, and cross-team troubleshooting.

  • Contribute to system testing activities in an Agile environment.
  • Create and review test plans covering functional and performance scenarios.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality automated test scripts and frameworks.
  • Execute tests, review and triage failures, and verify fixes.
  • Reproduce and debug customer-reported issues; coordinate with peer teams for resolution.
  • Investigate software and hardware trends related to networking and accelerators.
  • Build technical relationships with internal teams and external partners.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and relevant experience, followed by useful but optional skills.

  • Must-have: 5+ years in networking testing and automation roles.
  • Must-have: Proficiency writing automation scripts in Python.
  • Must-have: Experience with test and performance tools (for example, Ixia or similar).
  • Must-have: Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for complex system issues.
  • Must-have: Practical experience administering Linux systems.
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of routing/switching, micro-segmentation, VXLAN, and RDMA technologies.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with cloud, security, data center technologies, VMware ESX, or Windows Server.
  • Nice-to-have: Exposure to AI/GPU environments (Slurm, ROCm, AI workloads) and accelerator ecosystems.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with kernel-mode programming, device drivers, debuggers, profilers, and source control (GitHub).
  • Soft skills: Effective communication, collaboration, and leadership to drive issues to resolution.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
