System Testing and Automation Engineer
Role Summary
Work on product quality verification for Network Infrastructure accelerators, building and maintaining automated system tests and test plans. Collaborate with hardware, software, and cross-functional teams to validate performance, reproduce customer issues, and drive fixes to resolution.
Experience Level
Mid-level. The role expects several years of hands-on experience in networking testing and automation; 5+ years of relevant experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
The engineer will own test design, automation, execution and failure analysis for system-level validation.
- Contribute to day-to-day System Test activities in an Agile environment.
- Write, review and maintain comprehensive test plans covering functional and performance scenarios.
- Develop and maintain high-quality automated test scripts and frameworks.
- Execute tests, review and triage failures, and verify fixes.
- Reproduce customer-reported issues locally and collaborate with peer teams for resolution.
- Debug complex software/hardware interactions and collaborate across teams to identify root causes.
- Stay current with networking, accelerator and software trends relevant to test coverage.
- Develop and maintain technical relationships with peers and partners.
Requirements

Must-have: Proven experience in system testing and automation for networking technologies and accelerators.

Must-have: Proficiency writing automation scripts in Python and producing maintainable test code.

Must-have: Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across software and hardware stacks.

Must-have: Knowledge of operating systems, kernel-mode programming concepts, device drivers, and related architectures.

Must-have: Experience administering Linux systems; familiarity with Windows Server administration.

Nice-to-have: Experience with networking test and performance tools (for example Ixia) and familiarity with routing/switching, VXLAN, micro-segmentation.

Nice-to-have: Experience with RDMA, cloud, security, data center technologies, or AI stacks (GPUs, Slurm, ROCm, AI workloads).

Nice-to-have: Experience with VMware ESX, profilers, debuggers and source control systems (GitHub).

Nice-to-have: Prior experience in performance testing and benchmark validation.

Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
