Role Summary
Lead design and implementation of databases, data warehouses, visualization, and analytics used to process and analyze atomic clock test data. Collaborate with physicists, engineers, and test teams to integrate test and manufacturing data and deliver validated analysis pipelines.
Experience Level
Senior-level; requires 10+ years of relevant engineering or science experience.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include database design, integration, analysis, and validation:
- Design and manage SQL Server Always On database schemas and availability strategies.
- Develop and support stored-procedure based interfaces for automated test equipment (ATE), visualization tools (JMP, Origin), and analysis in Python/R.
- Characterize and analyze atomic clock test data in collaboration with physicists, engineers, and test teams.
- Implement statistical, numerical, and machine-learning techniques for data characterization.
- Integrate test data with component traceability, manufacturing telemetry, returns, and other data sources.
- Manage database source code and develop/execute validation test plans in accordance with industry practices.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and constraints:
- Proven experience managing large datasets and production databases and data warehouses.
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server (Always On), stored procedures, and database source control.
- Experience with data visualization tools (JMP, Origin) and analysis using Python and R.
- Experience applying statistical, numerical, and machine-learning methods to experimental/test data.
- Experience integrating datasets across manufacturing, traceability, and test systems (ATE).
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate with technical and management stakeholders.
- US Person status required due to U.S. export-control restrictions.
Education Requirements
Requires a BS or MS in a relevant Engineering or Science discipline and 10+ years of relevant experience.
