System Test Engineer
NVIDIAJob Title
System Test Engineer
Role Summary
Develop and deploy manufacturing test solutions for datacenter system products as part of the Test Solutions Group. Combine hardware and software expertise to expand test coverage, automate diagnostics, and resolve production issues at scale.
Work closely with design, operations, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust, scalable test and diagnostic infrastructure for next-generation datacenter systems.
Experience Level
Mid-level β typically requires 3+ years of post-silicon validation or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
Deliver production-ready test solutions and diagnostics for datacenter systems.
- Define, develop, and implement manufacturing test solutions for datacenter system products.
- Investigate and introduce new test technologies and methodologies to improve quality, coverage, throughput, and production efficiency.
- Develop test strategies for new features: test identification, specifications, fixture and equipment design, diagnostic software, and qualification.
- Provide design-for-test (DFT) feedback early in the product design cycle.
- Debug complex hardware, firmware, and software issues across prototype and production phases.
- Build and improve automated diagnostic-generation and validation infrastructure.
- Collaborate across engineering, operations, and manufacturing teams to deliver scalable solutions.
- Coordinate technical work across team members and drive execution on shared deliverables.
Requirements
Core qualifications and technical skills required and desirable for the role.
Must-have:
- 3+ years of post-silicon validation experience with board-level or system-level products.
- Experience developing or supporting platform-level manufacturing test programs.
- Experience with datacenter platforms and system architectures.
- Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
- Strong hardware and software debugging skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, coordination, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Clear written and verbal communication; strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with rack- or cluster-level test development, methodologies, and strategy.
- Familiarity with manufacturing automation, test fixtures, diagnostic tools, and production validation.
- Experience taking complex server or datacenter products from development through high-volume manufacturing.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience. (The posting explicitly accepts equivalent practical experience in lieu of a degree.)
