System Software Engineer, UEFI Firmware
Role Summary
Develop and verify UEFI firmware for NVIDIA platforms, from early modeling and simulation through deployment in consoles, servers, and AI systems. Work within the System Software / UEFI Firmware team and collaborate with hardware, simulation, and software teams to deliver robust low-level firmware.
Experience Level
Entry-level (2+ years of relevant experience preferred)
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Design and implement features and code for UEFI firmware.
- Document code flow, data flow, and firmware architecture.
- Debug and root-cause UEFI firmware issues across platforms.
- Support simulation and FPGA environment bring-up for firmware validation.
- Plan and execute pre-silicon and post-silicon verification of UEFI firmware.
- Develop test frameworks and tests to verify UEFI and ARM SBSA/SBBR requirements.
- Drive and resolve cross-team issues independently.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with global engineering teams.
Requirements

- Must-have: 2+ years experience with low-level operating system functionality and ARM technologies.
- Must-have: Strong C programming and debugging skills.
- Must-have: Experience with system software, OS internals, kernel modules, or device drivers.
- Must-have: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Preferred: Experience with UEFI, ACPI, SMBIOS, or the Linux kernel.
- Preferred: Experience working with AI development tools or environments.
Education Requirements
BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field β or equivalent practical experience.
